Frequently Asked Questions

How old is too old to train?
You are never too old to train!  Research has shown that 70 to 80-year olds and even 90 year-old people gain strength and stamina through a regular and deliberate fitness regimen while improving balance and flexibility.

How do I increase my metabolism?
The more muscle you have the more you increase your metabolism.  A pound of muscle takes up a third of the space as a pound of body fat yet burns an extra 45-50 calories per day.  A pound of fat only burns 1 calorie per day.  Imagine replacing 10 pounds of fat with 10 pounds of muscle.

How do I rid body fat from around my waist?
To rid body fat around your abdominal area, or any other area of the body, requires keeping your diet clean in tandem with consistent cardiovascular workouts in your target heart rate zone for your age.

How long does it take to start seeing results?
Seeing results depends on your commitment to a clean diet, cardiovascular activity and training.  Everyone responds differently to diet and exercise.  Typically, you can start to see results in as little as two (2) to three (3) weeks.

How much does it cost to hire a Personal Fitness Specialist?

Can two or more people workout together?
Yes, you may include up to three (3) people in a session to make the best use of your time, however, you and your partners must have similar fitness goals.

How often would a person use a trainer weekly?
It depends on the fitness level of the client.  It can range from two (2) sessions per week up to five (5) or six (6) sessions per week.

Can my fitness trainer come to my gym and train me?
This can be done if your gym allows private fitness trainers.  You need to ask your gym manager if they allow independent fitness trainers to come in and assist you.  If allowed, there is always a guest fee involved.
